The Facebook game has new social features

Yes, today Rovio launched the new Angry Birds Facebook version. The game is now called Angry Birds Friends and features a new image, new leves and improvements to the social platform.

One of the most noticeable change is the inclusion of a new modality in an episode: the Weekly Tournament. Basically, as the name says, consist on four different levels which act like a tournament  between your Facebook friends and you. The challenge is to get the highest score among your friends and win in the weekly rank.
Aditionally, when you play and get your score, the game gives you rewards like Power-Ups or Mighty Eagles usable in the other levels of Angry Birds Friends (the Mighty Eagle cannot be used in Weekly Tournament).
Also, the levels in the Tournament will be different each week and new challenges will come.

I leave the official Rovio trailer for Angry Birds Friends and the image gallery.

Hi visitors, today I come with the infrormation about the new Angry Birds game. Angry Birds Heikki will be the new Rovio launching and it will bring the birds to a F1 racing experience. The game is named after the Caterham F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen, which Rovio and Angry Birds have sponsored.

Currently there is nothing officialy revealed about the game, although it is speculated that it may be a title for web browsers instead for smartphones. Also it is supposed to be a Mario Kart style game or similar, besides that it will be something new in the world of Angry Birds, which will probably leave out the slingshot to take over the wheel, featuring the Finnish F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen. The game has a release date scheduled for June 18, 2012 but is expected to give more details in previous weeks.

The concept of Angry Birds is extended with Angry Birds Land

Hi, Angry Birders. Today I come with the gossip of the Angry Birds new theme park in Finland. The park, officially called Angry Birds Land will be opened in June 2012 and will be inside the Särkänniemi adventure park in the city of Tampere, Finland.

Angry Birds Land opened last week but "some of the birds are still migrating," said the President of Särkänniemi, Miikka Sepälä. The official opening is in June 8. There will be 12 rides and attractions, adventure camp, a tent of Angry Birds, cafes and food stalls in the area. "It's an experience themed art" said Sepälä. The idea is to create a "magical place" where visitors will play with portable devices such as phones and iPads.
He added that it will be the first theme park in the world with attractions that use mobile devices. By using the devices, visitors can earn points.
The Särkänniemi park tickets will cost between 19 and 35 euros (25 to 46 dollars). The park entrance fee also includes entry to the Angry Birds Land.

Angry Birds Space review

Hi Angry Birds Fans, today I will tell you the pros and cons of Angry Birds Space, the new game of the Angry Birds saga.
Second Eggsteroid Level (image: Angry Birds Nation)

Pros:

  • Angry Birds Space gives a refresh to the Angry Birds saga, that it was getting boring and repetitive with their previous releases.
  • The game features new things added to the Angry Birds levels: Gravity atraction on levels, hidden Eggsteroids (similar to Golden Eggs), hidden pigs (or piggies) and a good partnership with NASA.
  • Better performance and some minor graphical fixes.

Cons:

  • Very easy: In the first episode (Pig Bang) it is notorious that the levels in the episode are very easy and doesn't even make a difficult to complete. The next episodes (obviously) are with a major difficult and the game becomes more interesting.

In conclusion:

Angry Birds Space is a good work from Rovio showing progress and good cooperation with NASA, and giving a little twist to the saga.
