Angry Birds soda beats Coca-Cola in Finland

In Finland, the Angry Birds soda is preferred rather than Coca-Cola.

The Angry Birds phenomenon seems limitless, and out of anger for video games, dozens of merchandising products are sold worldwide with great success, giving Rovio more reasons to celebrate.

But in Finland, land of Rovio -the company that gave birth to the Angry Birds- drink cans of Angry Birds are everywhere, and in the words of Peter Vesterbacka at a conference, the gas is a favorite of Finns, managing to overtake Coca-Cola.

Peter Vesterbacka, Marketing Director in Rovio:
We want to make Angry Birds something so big that it becomes a pop culture icon.

The flavors are traditional, with names like Paradise Tropic or are presented as fruit, though not as sweet. None of this has made successful stops, and Angry Birds sodas shortly will come to Australia and New Zealand.

Rovio has expanded in different directions to Angry Birds, and besides having its first exclusive boutique in Helsinki, already has a theme park in China, with open probability in other world regions.

Angry Birds Star Wars characters & gameplay

Angry Birds Star Wars

A few days are missing for the launching of Angry Birds Star Wars and today we have posted some information about the new crossover game based on the Lucasfilm prestigious saga.

Information

Angry Birds Star Wars will be a new game from the Angry Birds saga that was shown for the first time in his official Facebook page. Shows a bird in a hood taking a lightsaber, parodying the garb of a Jedi in Star Wars.

Confirmed Characters

• Red Bird: Luke Skywalker. 
• Pink Bird: Princess Leia. 
• Yellow Bird: Han Solo. 
• White Bird: C-3PO.
• Black Bird: Obi-Wan. 
• Fat Red Bird: Chewbacca. 
• Egg: R2-D2. 
• Red Bird (Father): Darth Vader. 
• King Pig: Emperor Palpatine. 
• Pig with Moustache: snowtroopers. 
• Subordinates Pigs: Storm Troopers. 
• It is believed that fat pig will be Jabba The Hog. 

Trivia

This game will be released and playable on November 8, 2012. They may use their own special abilities of the characters, for example, the red bird / Luke Skywalker with a click takes his lightsaber.

New Space episode available: Red Planet

Two days ago, the new Angry Birds Space update arrived with a new episode planet, the Red Planet. This is a long-awaited update, and very intriguing. The new update was released to celebrate the launching of the Curiosity robot. Yeah, the one that NASA sent to explore Mars (that's why the new episode is called "Red Planet").
The main features of the new episode are:

• 20 red levels! They include lots of fire, geysers, and more! Beware of the geysers! They affect gravity effects ... There is a third page which makes it 30 levels, but the levels are not ready yet. 
• 2 space eggs! These are the bonus levels. For now, you can only get the first. You can get the second when the update is complete. 
• 3 Eggsteroids! Well, not really ... They are gold Curiosity Eggsteroids, the Golden Rovers. They are based on the real, and each has a name: Viking Lander, Sojourner and Opportunity. If you click on the "i" you'll learn more about these. 
• A new pig, the astronaut pig. Very hard to kill!

The update was available since August 23th in the top mobile plattforms (iOS and Android) and PC. Haven't updated already your AB Space??? We leave the trailer and some screenshots from the game. Leave your comments about the new game and see you later with more surprises!!!

Seasons: Back to School episode and new Pink Bird

Hi visitors. Today I've seen in the Angry Birds Facebook official page that Rovio will launch a new update to Seasons. This update will include a new episode called Back to School (we don't have to say why this name) and a new bird: the Pink Bird.
The Pink Bird will be first female bird playable in the Angry Birds saga, and its special effect is to launch bubbles to their enemies. I'm not sure how this effect will be used in the game. The episode and the new features will be launched very soon in the top mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and PC/Mac.
